The purpose: Nissan wanted to build an interactive online experience that would help to position the brand as a technical innovator. A secondary intent was to provide a tie-in with the primary Nissan Innovation Garage campaign creative look and feel for a seamless experience. The company settled on a timeline of innovations that could be scrolled through and explored.

The insight: By not biasing the timeline in favor of Nissan innovations, pickup by social media sites and blogs was easier to achieve.

The idea: A web based timeline showing a list of interesting innovations displayed on cards that can be flipped through. The timeline includes both automative and Nissan innovations but is not exclusive to them. Instead, it displays innovations from a wide range of industries.
